Job summary

McCrometer, a Veralto company, seeks a manufacturing supervisor to lead welding, machining, final assembly, and material support operations. You will manage shift resources, monitor KPIs, and ensure on-time shipment while maintaining a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes problem solving, collaboration with other departments, and adherence to SOPs in a fast-paced production environment.

• Previous experience in a leadership role.
• Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; self-motivated, with a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to present complex messages clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage many tasks simultaneously, with strong analytical thinking.
• Comfortable with change and a willingness to learn, with a strong work ethic.
• Proficiency with PC, Word, Outlook, and Excel; experience with MRP, SAP, or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of welding, machining, final assembly, and operation material support functions.
• Prioritize, assign, and monitor tasks to meet the shipment plan.
• Track cell-level KPIs and maintain visual daily management (VDM).
• Assist the Factory Manager with problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
• Promote a safe work environment by delivering safety training and performing cell audits.
• Coordinate with other department team leaders to meet required shipment dates.
• Enlist support from indirect teams to resolve delays in production or delivery schedules.
• Ensure sustainment of countermeasures by implementing changes to SOP and Standard Work.
