Job summary

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for an Operator Cut-Off Saw on the Pour line during 1st Shift foam production. This role controls, records, and inspects all buns produced, ensuring safe, efficient output per daily production schedules.

The successful candidate will communicate with the Pourline supervisor and minimize downtime. Must pass annual pulmonary testing and wear PPE to protect against chemical exposure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 months of chemical experience preferred.
• One year of machine operating experience preferred.
• Must be able to use computerized equipment in day to day operations and have computer knowledge.
• Will provide on the job training.
• Must be able to pass a pulmonary test on an annual basis.

Responsibilities

• Control, record, and inspect buns produced by the pouring line.
• Prepare C2 samples and measure slabs’ dimensions.
• Check conveyors, saws, belts, and conveyor eyes before pouring.
• Calibrate permeability machine.
• Label slabs with proper computerized labels.
• Transport trash and waste as designated.
• Operate forklift safely and according to regulations.
• Follow safety PPE requirements and report issues to supervisor.
