Job summary

Carpenter Co. has immediate openings for a 1st shift Warehouse/Saw Operator in our Fabrication Department at our Conover, NC plant. The role involves operating machinery that cuts and moves foam products and coordinating with the department manager for cutting requirements.

The ideal candidate will read work orders, run computer-controlled cutting equipment, and maintain a steady pace in a high-volume environment. Forklift experience and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to use computerized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery that cuts and moves foam products.
• Read and interpret work orders to determine sizes and amounts to cut.
• Run computer controlled cutting equipment.
• Maintain steady work pace in a high-volume department.
• Verify proper machine operations and output accuracy.
• Communicate with department manager and lead person for material cutting directions.
• Assist with inventory as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
