Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our FMCG team in Paarl. This hybrid role combines remote work with on-site supplier engagement to support sourcing of raw materials, packaging, and services.

You will drive cost-effective procurement, negotiate favorable terms, manage purchase orders, and collaborate with production and logistics to ensure timely delivery and supply continuity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze pricing and market trends.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, packaging, and operational supplies according to company specifications and quality standards.
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve any supply chain discrepancies.
• Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand their needs and ensure supply continuity.
