Job summary

BrainRobotics in Austin, TX is seeking a mobile software engineer to own and extend our Flutter/Dart platform for medical devices. You will develop iOS and Android apps, integrate BLE‑based hardware, and translate designs into production‑ready UI with i18n support.

You will also build web admin tools, enforce security controls, and manage end‑to‑end releases with CI/CD, while guiding architecture decisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Flutter and Dart for cross‑platform iOS and Android.
• Experience publishing to Apple App Store and Google Play Store, including build signing and release management.
• Experience connecting mobile apps to hardware devices, ideally using BLE.
• Proficiency with GitHub version control and designing CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.
• Professional background in a regulated engineering environment.
• Comfort working in early‑stage environments with evolving requirements and limited process structure.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, refine, and maintain Flutter applications for iOS and Android, improving stability and scalability.
• Integrate mobile apps with hardware devices via BLE connectivity and telemetry.
• Translate designs into pixel‑perfect UI with i18n/l10n support and contribute to usability and HMI work.
• Build and maintain web platforms and internal admin tools for device management and configuration across releases.
• Implement application security controls in line with HIPAA, GDPR, and FDA cybersecurity requirements.
• Own App Store and Google Play releases end to end and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitHub workflows.
• Produce technical documentation and support verification and validation within IEC 62304 lifecycle.
• Shape architecture decisions and provide technical guidance to team members and contractors.
