Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an engineer to support the design, development, and testing of hardware for the New Glenn second stage (2E) as part of the Product Engineering Test Programs team. You will engage in trade studies, requirements definition, and analysis across propulsion hardware and fluid systems.

You will apply first principles thermodynamics and cascaded testing to drive reliable, scalable solutions for spaceflight, working with diverse teams to meet safety and mission goals.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. in engineering and strong CAD experience.
• Demonstrated application of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and mechanics principles.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct trade studies for 2E subsystem design and future upgrades.
• Design, model, and analyze complex second stage subsystems including thermal fluid systems, structural components, and propulsion hardware.
• Drive hardware development through manufacturing and testing on schedule and within budget.
• Support implementation of designs through the product lifecycle from trade studies to test and on-orbit operations.
• Support and participate in testing and data analysis; develop automation to streamline workflows.
