Job summary

Swagelok Northwest (US) is seeking an Application Engineer to design custom fluid system assemblies and engineered solutions, translating customer requirements into practical, high-quality designs.

You will work directly with customers, sales teams, and production personnel to deliver reliable systems, leveraging CAD expertise and strong communication to support ongoing projects and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3 years of industry experience with fluid controls in one or more focused market/application segments.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency using 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and create piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
• Convert a P&ID to 3D models and 2D assembly drawings using SolidWorks.
• Generate custom solution proposals and quotes based on customer design requirements.
• Assist customers with selecting appropriate products and laying out assemblies to meet requirements.
• Interact with customers, sales teams, and service centers to drive solutions and learning.
