Job summary

Swagelok Texas Mid-Coast is seeking a skilled CAD designer to develop detailed 3D/2D drawings in SolidWorks for the Assembly Solutions department. You will oversee CAD processes, ensure drawing quality, and serve as SolidWorks license and PDM administrator, supporting complex equipment system designs.

You will collaborate with engineers and customers to meet specifications, interpret P&IDs and BOMs, and drive design efficiency across the team with templates and best practices.

Qualifications

• Advanced education in drafting/design required.
• Associate degree in related field preferred.
• SolidWorks certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for CAD processes, systems, standards, drawing quality, and design efficiency.
• Coordinate with engineers, technical advisors, and customers to understand project requirements.
• Interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, process flow diagrams, BOMs, and GA drawings.
• Produce Approval Drawings with BOMs, callouts, and dimensions.
• Administer SolidWorks licensing and manage seat allocations and renewals.
• Manage SolidWorks PDM vault structure, permissions, workflows, and data integrity.
• Audit drawings for compliance with Swagelok Texas Mid-Coast quality systems.
