Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies, the parent of the Applied Fluid Power network, is seeking a Fluid Power Technical Support Representative in the United States. You will draw on your hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge to provide product and system technical support to internal service center teams and customers by phone and email.

This role emphasizes collaboration, problem solving, and the ability to read schematics, design solutions, and help grow the Fluid Power business across service centers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years fluid power experience including hydraulic and/or pneumatic.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and system schematics.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Experience with MS Office and remote collaboration tools.
• Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Consult with Fluid Power Specialists, internal departments, and suppliers to present fluid power solutions and drive new business.
• Provide services to internal customers: interchanges, obsolescence replacement, dataset processing, product recommendations, quotes, shop conversions, and remote troubleshooting.
• Provide presales technical support and interpret product information for internal and external customers.
• Act as a local fluid power expert within an assigned service center and facilitate supplier interactions.
• Assist in developing the fluid power knowledge base with applications, interchanges, case histories, and market activities.
