Labcorp in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Technologist to join our team on a 3rd shift (Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00pm-6:30am) with shift differential. Responsibilities include validating specimens, performing procedures, operating instruments, and ensuring quality patient results.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or MLS, and 1+ year of clinical lab testing experience or MLS degree. ASCP or AMT certification preferred; flow cytometry experience a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.

Responsabilidades

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental SOPs
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE
