Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in the Greater Boston area is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to drive technical sales for flow cytometry analyzers and cell sorters across academic, government, and industrial accounts in New England.

You will balance prospecting, equipment demonstrations, and participation in local scientific shows, traveling up to 50% as needed, with a focus on customer solutions and market growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field required; MSc/PhD preferred.
• Strong background and experience working in flow cytometry required.
• 5+ years of general work experience, ideally hands-on in a research lab or prior sales.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate selling success in the area of flow cytometers with focus on analyzers and cell sorters.
• Display awareness of the life science market, trends, and competitors in flow cytometry.
• Drive sales opportunities with product capabilities, specifications, and demonstrations.
• Attend and participate in sales meetings, seminars and trade shows.
