Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in the Greater Boston area is seeking an energetic Technical Sales Specialist to lead technical sales and support for flow cytometers, including analyzers and cell sorters, in academic, government, and industrial accounts across New England.

You will balance prospecting, demonstrations, and participation in local scientific events, with up to 50% travel, leveraging your biology background and flow cytometry expertise to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field required; MSc/PhD preferred.
• Strong background and experience working in flow cytometry.
• 5+ years of general work experience; sales experience in instrumentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate selling success in flow cytometers, focusing on analyzers and cell sorters.
• Understand the life science market, especially flow cytometry trends and competitors.
• Drive sales opportunities by detailing product capabilities and technical specifications; perform demonstrations.
• Attend and participate in sales meetings, seminars and trade shows.
