Job summary

Singhofen Halff is seeking an experienced Professional Water Resources Engineer to join our Tampa, FL team. A Florida PE license is required and you will work on a range of municipal and state projects.

You will lead flood risk education, infrastructure planning, and design for stormwater systems, collaborating with clients and staff to deliver cost-effective, sustainable solutions. This role offers growth, ownership potential, and exposure to FEMA, FDOT, and local agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• Minimum 3 years of flood risk education/planning and stormwater design experience
• Florida PE license or EI certification
• Familiarity with ICPR4 (Stormwise) and ArcGIS
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and water resources planning
• Strong communication, teamwork, and business development skills

Responsibilities

• Develop water resources design projects for FDOT, FEMA, water districts, FDEP, and local municipalities.
• Perform flood risk education and planning for public and private stormwater infrastructure.
• Collaborate with design staff, consultants and clients to deliver projects that improve Florida communities.
• Assist in managing workload of engineers, EITs, and technical staff.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and ensure deliverables meet standards.
• Monitor budgets, schedules and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
