Job summary

Singhofen Halff seeks an experienced Professional Water Resources Engineer with a Florida PE license to join our Water Resources team in Tampa, FL. You will work on flood risk education, planning, and design for stormwater infrastructure, collaborating with FDOT, FEMA, and local agencies to deliver sustainable solutions.

You'll contribute to project scoping, budgeting, and client relations, mentoring staff, and ensuring deliverables meet regulatory requirements while supporting business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in flood risk education and planning, flood infrastructure planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or EI in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Work under a Water Resources Team Leader on design projects for FDOT, FEMA, Water Management Districts, FDEP and local municipalities.
• Perform flood risk education and planning, and design for stormwater infrastructure.
• Collaborate with design staff, consultants and clients to deliver projects that enhance Florida communities.
• Assist in managing workload of design staff including engineers and technicians.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements and client expectations.
• Monitor budgets, allocate resources, and identify opportunities to optimize project efficiency and profitability.
• Assist in developing and managing project scopes, budgets and schedules.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Review water resources designs and plans for accuracy and consistency.
