Job summary

American Structurepoint seeks a Director of Project Development to build and lead the Florida Investigative Group from Tampa or Orlando. You will act as technical expert and business leader, developing client relationships, mentoring engineers, and guiding long-term strategy for the Florida market.

You’ll oversee forensic investigations, project delivery, and growth initiatives while driving client satisfaction and team performance across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida or ability to obtain licensure.
• 10+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in structural or forensic engineering.
• Experience leading projects, mentoring staff, and managing client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to prepare technical reports.
• Strong business development skills to cultivate client partnerships.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites.
• Ability to travel locally with occasional regional travel.
