American Structurepoint is seeking a Director of Project Development to lead and expand the Texas Investigative Group. This role blends technical leadership with business development, guiding complex forensic investigations and client relationships while shaping the long-term strategy for the Texas market.

You will mentor engineers, oversee high-profile projects, and collaborate with the business development team to identify opportunities and expand the firm's regional presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain Texas licensure.
• 10+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in structural or forensic engineering.
• Experience leading engineering projects, mentoring staff, and managing client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including clear technical reports.
• Strong business development skills to cultivate client partnerships.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a portfolio of forensic engineering and structural investigation projects in Texas.
• Direct investigations involving structural damage, failures, and performance issues.
• Build and grow the Texas Investigative practice with business development support.
• Mentor, coach, and develop engineering staff; recruit and retain talent.
• Manage project profitability, schedules, and resource allocation; ensure high-quality reports.
