Job summary

Pinchin seeks a Director of Forensic Engineering to lead Florida's Forensic Engineering & Litigation Support practice. The role involves independent investigations, failure analysis, and expert testimony, with emphasis on growing capabilities and mentoring professionals.

You will collaborate across disciplines, maintain client relationships, and uphold high ethical standards while traveling within Florida and beyond as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural, or related Engineering discipline from an accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Florida or ability to obtain licensure within timeframe.
• Approximately 12+ years of progressively responsible engineering experience including forensic engineering and building investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex forensic investigations, failure analyses, and insurance claim assignments for existing buildings.
• Develop technically sound opinions on cause, damage, repair considerations, and standard of care.
• Plan and oversee field investigations, testing, and documentation for multidisciplinary assessments.
• Prepare and review forensic reports, expert opinions, and litigation-related deliverables.
• Provide deposition/trial support and maintain client relationships with independence and objectivity.
