Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in Florida seeks an Environmental Practice Lead to spearhead environmental compliance and EHS services across multiple Florida offices. The role entails leading projects, developing permitting strategies, and expanding the Florida practice in collaboration with national experts.

You will manage a regional team, drive business development, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering high-quality client services and pursuing innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or closely related field; Master's preferred.
• 12+ years of environmental experience with 5+ years as a project manager in consulting.
• Professional certification preferred (e.g., PE, CHMM, CSP, CIH).
• Knowledge of Federal and Florida environmental regs; industrial health/safety knowledge a plus.
• Willingness to engage in business development across Florida and nationally.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage environmental compliance projects from start to finish.
• Prepare and submit deliverables under various environmental programs (air, wastewater, etc.).
• Develop environmental permitting and regulatory strategy for industrial projects.
• Act as senior SME for EHS and compliance services.
• Lead and develop a team of environmental compliance staff.
• Manage project financials and team utilization.
• Identify new clients and grow the compliance practice.
• Maintain industry org memberships; coordinate cross-office work.
• Interface with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to growth of national compliance practice.
