Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking an Environmental Practice Lead in Florida to lead and grow environmental compliance and EHS services. The role involves serving as a technical lead for a diverse project portfolio, expanding client relationships, and coordinating with national resources.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years in environmental consulting, strong regulatory knowledge, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in environmental field with project management experience in a consulting environment
• Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred
• Professional certification preferred (PE, CHMM, CSP, CIH)
• Knowledge of Federal and Florida environmental regulations
• Strong business development and Florida leadership capabilities
• Spanish language skills are a plus

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage environmental compliance projects from start to finish.
• Prepare and submit deliverables under environmental programs (air, wastewater, stormwater, EPCRA, etc.).
• Develop permitting and regulatory strategies for industrial development projects.
• Serve as senior SME for EHS and compliance services, including audits and permit strategy.
• Lead and develop a team of environmental staff across locations.
• Manage project financials and staffing utilization.
• Identify and pursue new clients and opportunities in Florida and nationally.
• Represent the group in industry organizations and cross-office collaborations.
• Engage with clients, regulators, attorneys, and stakeholders effectively.
• Support growth of national compliance practice across the US.
