Job summary

Hy-Vee's Floral Department is seeking a Floral Designer to create custom arrangements and deliver outstanding customer service. You will lead floral clerks, process multiple order channels, and maintain department freshness and presentation in a fast-paced setting.

The role reports to the Floral Manager and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus experience in floral design. Expect a dynamic, customer-focused environment with opportunities to contribute to store events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Strong floral design skills and knowledge of floral products, care and handling.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create arrangements to exact specifications.
• Lead floral clerks and train on simple designs and daily tasks.
• Process FTD, Teleflora, and interstore orders while maintaining confidentiality.
• Inventory, assess freshness, replace damaged product.
• Assist with in-store events and department leadership in the Manager’s absence.
• Unload trucks and replenish merchandise; maintain department standards.
