Hy-Vee floral department is seeking a Floral Designer who creates beautiful arrangements to customer specifications and leads floral clerks. You will ensure the department is stocked and running smoothly, guiding staff and handling orders from FTD and Teleflora with care.

The role emphasizes customer care, accuracy in order fulfillment, and staying current with floral trends in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of related work experience preferred.
• Floral design knowledge and product handling.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create arrangements to exact specifications.
• Lead floral clerks and train on simple designs and daily tasks.
• Process and wrap flowers carefully to prevent damage.
• Fulfill orders accurately for weddings, funerals, and anniversaries.
• Handle FTD, Teleflora, interstore, and internet orders with confidentiality.
• Monitor freshness and replace damaged product as needed.
• Order flowers and supplies daily as directed by Floral Manager.
• Identify opportunities to feature specials and new arrangements.
• Stay current on floral industry trends and ideas.
