Job summary

The GIANT Company in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a Store Floral Associate to receive, stock, and arrange flowers, assist customers, and wrap items. This role supports the floral department and requires attention to detail, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities include using inventory receiving processes, keeping the cooler organized, and ensuring a clean, welcoming department. Shift hours start daily with 4-hour blocks as needed; prior experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
• Must have 1 year of work experience or technical training.
• Must have keyboard skills.

Responsibilities

• Promptly, at the start of the shift, the team member will review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with PPE requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
• Use a U-boat to get inventory from receiving and put inventory into floral cooler.
• Make arrangements, help customers, wrap flowers and plants, and inflate balloons as required.
• Keep the department and cooler clean.
• Track and record loss.
