Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a friendly Floral Clerk to assist customers, design arrangements, and keep the floral department organized. You will greet customers, process orders, and help maintain high standards of cleanliness and display quality.

Responsibilities include merchandising, assisting in design and packaging, operating the register, and ensuring correct signage and inventory. Weekend and holiday availability is required to meet customer demand.

Qualifications

• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Multitask, set priorities, present information professionally, work with all levels.
• Demonstrates personal initiative and follow-through to completion.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in production, merchandising, and customer service related to sale of merchandise.
• Must safely use cleaning solutions and sharp tools; operate production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist and greet customers promptly and provide great service.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Help design and create floral arrangements and/or other items for orders.
• Package orders effectively, safely and efficiently.
• Keep merchandise and supplies in their proper areas.
• Maintain customer records and files properly.
• Assist customers in location and selecting items.
• Handle telephone calls and orders promptly and courteously.
• Assist in decorating and merchandising the department.
• Keep carts, tools, and supplies organized.
• Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
• Maintain plants and prepare flower arrangements and fill balloons.
• Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, and space allocation.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures and applicable laws.
• Operate cash register per procedures; may work weekends/holidays.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with/without accommodation.
