Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Floral Department Associate to assist in designing and merchandising floral items for display and customer requests. You will provide excellent customer service, greet customers, and help with arranging and packaging orders in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, keeping the department organized, handling calls and orders, and maintaining signs and inventory. Weekend and holiday availability is expected to support store operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist and greet customers promptly and provide great service
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions
• Help design and create floral arrangements for customer orders
• Package orders effectively, safely and efficiently
• Keep merchandise and supplies in their proper areas
• Maintain customer records and files properly
• Assist customers in locating and selecting items
• Handle telephone calls and orders promptly and courteously
• Maintain and decorate the department
• Keep carts, tools and supplies organized
• Keep floors clean, safe and clutter-free
• Maintain plants and prepare flower arrangements and balloons
• Ensure accurate signage, rotation and space allocation for merchandise
• Adhere to company policies and procedures and state/federal laws
• Operate cash register in accordance with procedures
• Maintain weekend and holiday availability
