Job summary

ShopRite in Saker, NJ is seeking a Floral Manager to direct and supervise the Floral Department and its Associates, aiming to meet department goals in sales, profit, customer experience, and engagement. You will ensure safety, presentation, and efficiency across all tasks and train staff accordingly.

Responsibilities include coaching associates, welcoming customers, promoting programs, and maintaining department standards in cleanliness, stocking, and display.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English fluently and understand instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried or processed products, spices and powders.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and tolerate dust/cleaning agents.
• Ability to climb a ladder to retrieve items.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and follow schedules.
• Ability to engage and lead associates to meet department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Floral Department to achieve goals in sales, profit, customer experience, and associate engagement.
• Ensure safety, presentation, and efficiency policies are followed and training is provided to associates.
• Greet customers, promote promotions, and lead onboarding and training of department staff.
• Maintain department standards for cleanliness, stocking, labeling, and display.
