Job summary

ShopRite in Manahawkin, NJ is seeking a Floral Manager to direct the Floral Department, supervise associates, and drive sales, customer experience, and safety. You will implement policies, oversee presentational standards, and lead team efforts to meet department goals in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires strong leadership, customer service focus, and ability to manage operations and compliance in floral merchandising.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English fluently
• Ability to perform basic math
• Ability to stand/walk for a full shift
• Ability to perform basic computer functions
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs regularly
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and spices without allergic reactions
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and tolerate dust/cleaning agents
• Ability to climb a ladder and interact with customers
• Ability to lead and engage Associates
• Ability to work all assigned schedules and adhere to attendance policies

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Floral Department and its Associates to achieve department goals
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
• Promote current promotions and charity drives
• Onboard and train new department associates
• Provide ongoing training and feedback
• Maintain department presentation, pricing accuracy, and shelf readiness
• Ensure safety, health, and regulatory compliance in all floral operations
• Monitor staffing to meet sales and customer experience needs
• Assist with food preparation, catering, and special orders
• Complete all duties as assigned and adhere to company policies
