Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Floral Clerk at the Carroll, IA location. You will assist customers with floral orders, create simple arrangements, and keep the floral department stocked and attractive.

Responsibilities include processing orders, maintaining product freshness, and delivering friendly service in a fast-paced retail setting. Prior experience not required; training provided, with emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality. Part-time hours and a supportive team environment offered.

Qualifications

• Greet customers and assist with floral orders, in person or by phone.
• Handle daily order paperwork and payment processing at the register.
• Maintain freshness and appearance of floral department products.
• Operate the POS and handle cash transactions with accuracy.
• Protect customer order details and keep confidentiality of orders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting with floral orders.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish product including arrangements, corsages, balloons and other floral items.
• Manage order submissions with FTD, Teleflora, and computer orders while keeping order details confidential.
• Ensure freshness of products and anticipate daily department needs.
• Water plants and maintain the department’s cleanliness and appearance.
• Prepare daily delivery lists and fulfill deliveries as needed.
• Unload trucks, stock products, and process invoices as necessary.
• Operate the department register and handle payments.
• Respond to phone inquiries with friendly, helpful service.
• Adhere to Hy-Vee dress code and department guidelines.
