Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Specialist in the United States, Texas, Austin area. You will meet customers, understand project needs, and guide them to product selections to help realize home improvement goals.

You will become the product expert, explaining specifications, features, promotions, and financing options to close sales. This role requires strong communication and a proactive, customer-first attitude, with opportunities to grow within a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with/without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state (Lowe’s will support and fund).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating advantages of Lowe’s products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing orders, and following up for project completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales, coordinate with vendors and stores for stock replacement.
• Perform price reviews by pricing policies and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and departmental requests for assistance.
• Train associates in the department with on-the-job coaching on the sales floor.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
