Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Specialist in Plano, TX. You will be one of the first to greet customers, help them find products, and turn project ideas into reality.

You will become the product expert, informing customers about specifications, features, and financing options to close sales. You will work in one of several departments based on hiring needs and your skillset (Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, Windows &

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience.
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with goals or metrics.
• Able to Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state (Lowe’s will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and highlighting the advantages of Lowe’s products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, managing estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing and tracking orders, and following up to ensure project completion.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with vendors and stores to find merchandise and replacements.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing and documentation.
• Assist with all checkout functions and department communications.
• Train associates in the department and coach on development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
