Job summary

gpac is seeking a Flooring Sales Team Leader in Des Moines, IA to lead showroom operations and drive revenue growth while actively selling and managing the sales team.

The role focuses on developing sales professionals, coordinating with installers, and building relationships with builders, designers, and local businesses in residential and commercial flooring projects.

Qualifications

My client is looking to add a Flooring Sales Team Leader to their team.

This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who excels at driving sales, developing people, and building strong customer and industry relationships.

The ideal candidate will oversee business development and daily operations, support and develop the sales team, and remain actively involved in project oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead showroom operations and sales performance
• Maintain an active sales role and drive revenue growth
• Coach, onboard, and train sales team members
• Coordinate with installers to ensure strong project execution
• Support residential, multifamily, custom home, and smaller commercial flooring projects
• Build relationships with builders, contractors, designers, property managers, and local businesses
• Stay active in Home Builders Associations, networking groups, trade events, and the local business community
• Resolve customer concerns and maintain strong relationships

Qualifications

• 3+ years of flooring sales and/or management experience required
• Proven ability to drive sales and close business
• Experience leading and developing sales professionals
• Strong knowledge of flooring products and installation
• Experience measuring projects and understanding installation procedures
• Blueprint and takeoff experience preferred
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Proficient with CRM/software systems

Compensation/Benefits

• $80,000 - $100,000 Base
