Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is hiring a part-time Sales Specialist in Portland, ME. You’ll be one of the first faces customers meet, helping them find products and translate ideas into real projects. You’ll discuss needs, explain features, and guide customers to complete sales with strong service skills.

You may work in Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, or other departments, depending on store needs. This role emphasizes shopping assistance, product knowledge, and customer relationship building.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications include High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (or equivalent external experience).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with sales goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department and manage orders.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/stores to find merchandise.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and assist customers as needed.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coach around development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
