Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Sales Specialist who will be one of the first associates customers meet, helping shoppers find products and turn project ideas into reality in a fast-paced store setting. You’ll become the product expert, answering questions, explaining features, and guiding customers to complete purchases in departments like Appliances, Cabinetry, Flooring, or Tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year in customer-facing sales or six months in Lowe’s retail experience (or three years external sales if education not met).
• One year of sales or customer service experience in a sales environment with sales goals/metrics.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted or with aid.
• Sales-related licensure or registration if required by state; Lowe’s will support and fund this.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as point of contact for customers and vendors within department, including estimates, scheduling installers, processing orders, and follow-ups.
• In Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales/services.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with vendors/stores to restock merchandise.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and help respond to department requests.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coaching development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
