Job summary

Lowe's Staunton, VA is seeking a Sales Specialist who will be on the front line helping customers find products and turn great project ideas into reality.

You’ll become a product expert across departments such as Appliances, Flooring, Live Nursery, and more, delivering friendly service, completing orders, and supporting store goals. Lowe's offers bonus opportunities, health plans, tuition assistance, a 401(k) match, and an Associate Discount.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with/without accommodation
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state (Lowe's will support)

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating product advantages
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing project estimates and scheduling installations
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors to replace stock
• Perform price reviews by pricing policies and maintain pricing documentation
• Support all checkout functions and department needs
• Train associates in the department through on-the-job coaching
• Complete other duties as assigned
