Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Sales Specialist in Kentucky to greet customers, understand home improvement needs, and guide them to the right products. You’ll become the product expert, discuss features, promotions, and financing options to close sales, while delivering friendly, solution-oriented service on the sales floor or garden center.

In this role you’ll move through departments like Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, and more, collaborating with vendors and teammates to meet store goals

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (Or 3 years of external experience in customer-facing sales or 18 months of Lowe’s retail experience if education requirement is not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• Able to Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by seeking out customers to understand their needs and explain Lowe’s products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, processing orders and scheduling visits.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with vendors and other stores to find merchandise and order stock.
• Perform price reviews by pricing policies and maintain pricing and documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and requests for assistance.
• Train associates in the department through on-the-job coaching on the sales floor.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
