Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Sales Specialist to greet customers, understand project needs, and guide them to the right products and services. You’ll become the product expert, explain features, promotions, and financing options, and help finalize sales.

Role includes active movement in the store, assisting customers, and occasional collaboration with Pro departments. Benefits include health options, tuition assistance, 401(k) matching, and associate discounts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external experience in customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail experience if education requirement is not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, providing project estimates and scheduling installer visits.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors or stores for replacement stock.
• Perform price reviews to ensure pricing accuracy and documentation.
• Support checkout functions and handle requests for assistance.
• Train associates in the department through on-the-job coaching and development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
