Job summary

Floor & Decor Stores is seeking Sales Associates to provide friendly, accurate service and help customers find products to complete their projects. You will work on the sales floor in a fast-paced, safe environment, handling checkout, stocking, sign creation, and assisting customers with needs.

Positions available include full-time and part-time roles with opportunities for advancement. Must lift up to 60 pounds and may require state-mandated background checks and drug testing where allowed by

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Knowledge of basic math skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
• Some positions may require forklift certifications through F&D.
• Where permissible by state law, certification to use heavy equipment requires successful passing of a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Connect with customers, ask about their projects, recommend products and excite customers about their purchase.
• Provide above and beyond customer service and exceed customer expectations when assisting customers.
• Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure it is clean, shoppable and safe.
• Work in cooperation with management and team members to achieve sales goals.
• Process customers at checkout using point of sale (POS) system.
• Process customer refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines.
• Follow established cash, check and credit card acceptance procedures.
• Create price tags and merchandise signs.
• Stock, tag and display merchandise.
• Act and work in a manner consistent with the company’s core values.
• Demonstrate and understand compliance of the company’s safety processes.
• Answer telephone according to the company guidelines.
• Be available to assist in other areas of the store as needed.
• Work in a fast pace environment with accuracy.
