Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to greet customers, understand project needs, and help turn ideas into purchases. You’ll become the product expert, explaining specs, promotions, and financing options to close sales and delight customers.

In this role you’ll work in departments such as Appliances, Flooring, Live Nursery, or Tools, with opportunities to earn bonuses, health benefits, tuition support, a 401(k) match, and an associate discount.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience (Or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe's retail if education not met)
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required goals/metrics
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with/without accommodation
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state (Lowe's will support)

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages
• Act as point of contact for customers and vendors, providing project estimates, scheduling visits, processing orders/installations, and following up on completion
• In Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales/services
• Monitor inventory levels; work with vendors/stores to find merchandise and order stock
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation
• Support all checkout functions and requests for assistance
• Train associates on the sales floor and coach on development
• Complete other duties as assigned
