Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Flooring Solutions Technician 1 to coordinate with leadership, provide exemplary service, and ensure equipment is used, set up, and repaired to standard. The role emphasizes clear communication, professional appearance, and maintaining preventive maintenance records.

The position involves cleaning, minor repairs, inventory tracking, and on-call emergency coverage on weekends and evenings. A strong safety focus and ability to work independently are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical, and hydraulic experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• Must provide mechanic’s tools of trade.
• Excellent trouble‑shooting skills.
• Ability to prioritize work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Performs check-ins and minor repairs when equipment is returned to the shop.
• Assists with loading and unloading of equipment as needed.
• Cleans, pressure washes, and preps equipment for repairs and rent-ready status.
• Performs full-service maintenance on all equipment and diagnoses simple mechanical problems.
• Maintains safe work environment and adheres to safety standards.
• Keeps track of rental equipment and coordinates deliveries, pickups and service calls.
• Maintains warehouse area and equipment records.
