Job summary

Kempsville Building Materials is seeking a Flooring Design & Sales Specialist to present and sell flooring products while building strong relationships with builders and customers. You will communicate with store personnel, trainer relationships, and maintain builder awareness of flooring options.

The role requires delivering expert product guidance and accurate estimates to ensure on-time orders and installations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years flooring sales experience.
• Knowledge of the building materials industry.
• Strong decision making and problem solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to increase sales and improve profitability.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develops customer relationships and determines customer needs.
• Responsible for maintaining and increasing the sales of flooring products.
• Gives presentations to builders and provides expert advice on product features and benefits.
• Prepares estimates for these products and ensures that they are ordered and shipped on time.
• Works closely with OSRs to analyze sales opportunities and assist on the jobsite.
• Oversees installed jobs.
• Keeps lines of communication open between team members and customers to ensure timely service.
• Ensures all logs, workbooks and paperwork are complete and submitted as required.
• Identifies personal growth needs and improvement opportunities; seeks product information; learns about packages and products.
• Completes required training and development courses.
