Job summary

Carpet City Flooring Center seeks a motivated Business Development & Sales Representative to develop flooring business across Central Wisconsin. The role combines outside sales, relationship management, and showroom coordination, with the Wausau showroom as home base.

You will build relationships with property managers, builders, and local businesses, prospect new clients, and drive sales while balancing field work with showroom duties. High school diploma required; bachelor’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proven sales or business development experience in relationship-driven environments.
• Experience building and managing a book of business with outside sales.
• Strong prospecting, presentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop New Business and proactively pursue opportunities throughout Central Wisconsin.
• Build and nurture relationships with property managers, builders, remodelers, senior living communities, local businesses, and other accounts.
• Coordinate outreach via calls, emails, referrals, networking, and in-person visits; schedule and conduct meetings.
• Provide quotes, proposals, and follow opportunities from initial contact through installation.
• Collaborate with showroom and operations teams to ensure a strong customer experience.
