Winona Health Services is seeking a Floor Technician for the 2nd shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm) at Winona Health. The position focuses on floor care, cleaning, waste handling, and window cleaning across patient care areas, ORs, and public spaces in a healthcare environment.
Qualified candidates will have a High School/GED or equivalent and experience in floor care including stripping, waxing, scrubbing, and buffing. The role requires adherence to infection control and HIPAA guidelines.
The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming healthcare environment through specialized floor care and environmental services throughout the facility. This includes stripping and waxing, scrubbing, and buffing a variety of floor types to ensure cleanliness, safety, and appearance.
In addition to floor maintenance, the technician performs waste removal duties, including the handling of infectious and hazardous waste, proper sharps disposal, removal of trash and recycling materials, and the transportation of linens to designated locations. Additionally, this position handles all cleaning of interior and exterior windows within Winona Health.
Working in patient care areas, operating rooms, and public spaces, the Floor Technician strictly adheres to infection control protocols, safety standards, and HIPAA guidelines to ensure compliance and protect patient privacy and well-being.
