Job summary

Velociti Services is looking for Floor Technicians to maintain hard surfaces and carpets in facilities. Responsibilities include stripping, waxing, and buffing floors as well as routine cleaning tasks in various areas including offices and break rooms. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma and at least 1 year of floor care experience. The position includes benefits such as life insurance, disability insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan.

Applicants must be available Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 10 PM and provide two forms of current ID.

Job Description

Velociti Floor Technicians are responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public places such as break rooms.

Monday-Friday, 4pm-10pm, 6 hours a night. Need two forms of current ID's. Must have a cell phone and be willing to download the company app to clock in and out.

Ideal Candidate Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Minimum 1 year experience in floor care.
• Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance.
• Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high‑speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.
• Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred.
• Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.

Key Accountabilities

• Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use
• Before beginning work, secure the work area and post safety notices for other space users.
• Floors care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells.
• Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery
• Wall cleaning
• Dusting (high and low)
• Routine restroom cleaning
• Routine office and break room cleaning
• Maintenance of floor care equipment
