Velociti Services is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain hard surfaces and carpet across offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and break rooms. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and quality service while supporting shift leads and completing routine cleaning tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of floor care experience, knowledge of stripping, waxing, buffing, and operating buffers, extractors, and vacuums.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Minimum 1 year experience in floor care.
• Experience operating floor care equipment: buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, auto scrubbers.
• Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance checks on all equipment before use.
• Secure the work area and post safety notices.
• Floors care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells.
• Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery.
• Wall cleaning
• Dusting (high and low)
• Routine restroom cleaning
• Routine office and break room cleaning
• Maintenance of floor care equipment.

At Velociti Floor Technicians are responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public places such as break rooms.

Ideal Candidate Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Minimum 1 year experience in floor care.
• Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance.
• Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.
• Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred.
• Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.
