Job summary

Velociti Services Co in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Floor Technician to perform hard surface and carpet floor care at a corporate facility. You will strip, wax, buff, shampoo and extract floors, and maintain cleanliness in offices, corridors and lobbies.

Overview

Position: Floor Technicians
Pay Rate: $20.10 per hour
Schedule: Thursday-Monday 9:00 pm-5:30 am
Work Location: 3400 Sky Harbor Blvd, Phoenix, AZ

At Velociti Floor Technicians are responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public places such as break rooms.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Minimum 1 year experience in floor care.
• Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance.
• Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.
• Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred.
• Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.

Key Accountabilities

• Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use
• Before beginning work, secure the work area and post safety notices for other space users.
• Floors care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells.
• Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery
• Wall cleaning
• Dusting (high and low)
• Routine restroom cleaning
• Routine office and break room cleaning
• Maintenance of floor care equipment
