Job summary

Confidence Management Solutions is seeking an experienced Floor Tech for a long-term care nursing facility in Rome, NY. This full-time role offers day/evening shifts with alternating weekends and holidays, and on-the-job training.

Responsibilities include floor care, equipment operation, and maintaining a clean facility. Candidates should have a high school diploma/GED and healthcare setting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in Environmental Services or housekeeping is a plus.
• Prior healthcare environment experience is a plus.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, shampoo, strip, wax and buff floors throughout the facility.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as extractors and buffers safely and correctly.
• Keep equipment clean and properly stored after use.
• Dispose of all garbage and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 / hour

Floor Tech Shifts: Day and Evening Shifts, Alternating Weekends, Holidays.

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is currently recruiting experienced Floor Tech for long term care nursing facility in Rome, NY.

Floor Tech Key Duties

• Maintain all floors by sweeping mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing, and buffing throughout the facility.


• Various pieces of equipment are properly and safely operated such as extractor, auto-scraper, high speed buffer, shop vac, side-to-side buffer, vacuum, and steam machine.


• Maintains equipment in good working condition and stores properly in designated locations after each use.


• Dispose of all garbage throughout the facility.


• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.

Floor Tech Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).


• Environmental Services or housekeeping experience a plus.


• Prior experience working in a nursing home, hospital or healthcare environment a plus.


• Ability to operate automatic floor scrubbing machines and floor buffers.
