Job summary

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is seeking a Floor Tech for a long-term care nursing facility in Elizabeth, NJ. This full-time role covers day and evening shifts with alternating weekends and holidays, and includes on-the-job training.

We provide comprehensive on-site training. The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and ideally experience in Environmental Services or healthcare settings. Ability to operate automatic floor scrubbers and buffers is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Environmental Services or housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Prior experience in nursing home, hospital or healthcare environment is a plus.
• Ability to operate automatic floor scrubbing machines and floor buffers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all floors by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing and buffing.
• Operate equipment such as extractor, high speed buffer and steam machine.
• Keep equipment in good working condition and store properly after use.
• Dispose of garbage throughout the facility.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is currently recruiting experienced Floor Tech for long term care nursing facility in Elizabeth, NJ.

Floor Tech Key Duties

• Maintain all floors by sweeping mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing, and buffing throughout the facility.
• Various pieces of equipment are properly and safely operated such as extractor, auto-scraper, high speed buffer, shop vac, side-to-side buffer, vacuum, and steam machine.
• Maintains equipment in good working condition and stores properly in designated locations after each use.
• Dispose of all garbage throughout the facility.
• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.

Floor Tech Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Environmental Services or housekeeping experience a plus.
• Prior experience working in a nursing home, hospital or healthcare environment a plus.
• Ability to operate automatic floor scrubbing machines and floor buffers.
