Job summary

Western Dental in Los Angeles is seeking a Floor Supervisor to lead back office staff and ensure smooth patient flow. You will hire, train and coach 8-12 team members, coordinate with dentists for patient care, and uphold sterilization and safety standards across the practice.

The role emphasizes keeping appointments on track, maintaining records, and driving the Ultimate Patient Experience while aligning with OSHA and corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Must have a current X-Ray license and be able to obtain within six months if not active.
• Experience supervising a team of 8-12 staff with authority and accountability.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise back office staff including scheduling, training and evaluations.
• Participate in hiring and retention for back office staff.
• Manage patients by coordinating withDentists and providing instructions for care.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules as needed.
• Ensure sterilization of office and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Dental Board and corporate policies.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintain dental supplies.
• Maintain patient treatment records and lead staff meetings.
• Prioritize Ultimate Patient Experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all back office staff including scheduling, training, performance evaluations and holding staff accountable
• Participate in the hiring, selection and retention for back office staff
• Responsible for Patient management by partnering with Dentists, providing patients with proper pre and post-treatment instructions and ensuring patient satisfaction
• Monitor patient flow by effectively reviewing sign in sheet and appointment book and making necessary adjustments to the schedule
• Responsible for ensuring sterilization of the office and equipment
• Ensure compliance with all OSHA, Dental Board, and Corporate policies and procedures
• Conduct all weekly/monthly/quarterly inspections
• Maintain dental supplies and inventory; stock supplies in operatories, restrooms, lab, etc. as needed
• Maintain proper patient treatment records
• Lead, inspire, and motivate back staff
• Participate in monthly operational meetings
• Prioritize UPE (Ultimate Patient Experience)
