Job summary

Western Dental Offices is seeking a Floor Supervisor to lead back-office and clinical support teams in our California practice. You will supervise 8-12 staff, manage scheduling, training, and performance, and ensure patient flow and satisfaction in a fast-paced dental environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterilization standards, OSHA compliance, and coordinating with Dentists to deliver optimal patient experiences while upholding company policies and quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team of 8–12 team members with the ability to delegate and hold a team accountable.
• Working knowledge of dental equipment, terminology, OSHA and safety compliance.
• Must have a current X-Ray License or sign an agreement to obtain within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all back office staff including scheduling, training, performance evaluations and accountability.
• Participate in hiring, selection and retention for back office staff.
• Coordinate patient management with Dentists and provide patients with pre and post-treatment instructions.
• Monitor patient flow by reviewing sign-in sheets and appointment books and adjust schedules as needed.
• Ensure sterilization of the office and equipment.
• Maintain OSHA, Dental Board, and Corporate policy compliance.
• Conduct weekly/monthly/quarterly inspections.
• Maintain dental supplies and inventory; stock in operatories, restrooms, lab, etc.
• Maintain proper patient treatment records.
• Lead, inspire, and motivate back staff.
• Participate in monthly operational meetings.
• Prioritize Ultimate Patient Experience (UPE).

• Responsible for Patient management by partnering with Dentists, providing patients with proper pre and post-treatment instructions and ensuring patient satisfaction
• Monitor patient flow by effectively reviewing sign in sheet and appointment book and making necessary adjustments to the schedule
• Responsible for ensuring sterilization of the office and equipment
• Ensure compliance with all OSHA, Dental Board, and Corporate policies and procedures
• Conduct all weekly/monthly/quarterly inspections
• Maintain dental supplies and inventory; stock supplies in operatories, restrooms, lab, etc. as needed
• Maintain proper patient treatment records
• Lead, inspire, and motivate back staff
• Participate in monthly operational meetings
• Prioritize UPE (Ultimate Patient Experience)
