Job summary

Western Dental is seeking a Floor Supervisor to lead back-office staff and ensure smooth patient flow in our Los Angeles-area clinics. You will supervise scheduling, training, and performance while partnering with dentists to deliver excellent patient care.

This role requires a current X-Ray license (or agreement to obtain within six months), hands-on knowledge of dental equipment and OSHA compliance, and a proven track record of team leadership in a dental setting.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team of 8-12 members with authority, delegation and accountability.
• Working knowledge of dental equipment and terminology, OSHA and safety compliance.
• Must have a current X-Ray License or agreement to obtain within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all back office staff including scheduling, training, performance evaluations and holding staff accountable
• Participate in the hiring, selection and retention for back office staff
• Responsible for Patient management by partnering with Dentists, providing patients with proper pre and post-treatment instructions and ensuring patient satisfaction
• Monitor patient flow by reviewing sign in sheet and appointment book and making necessary schedule adjustments
• Responsible for ensuring sterilization of the office and equipment
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Dental Board, and Corporate policies and procedures
• Conduct all weekly/monthly/quarterly inspections
• Maintain dental supplies and inventory; stock supplies in operatories, restrooms, lab, etc.
• Maintain proper patient treatment records
• Lead, inspire, and motivate back staff
• Participate in monthly operational meetings
• Prioritize UPE (Ultimate Patient Experience)
