Aero Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate production schedules, manage capacity, and ensure on-time delivery on the manufacturing floor in Indianapolis. The role partners with Operations, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality to optimize flow and minimize scrap.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in production scheduling, ERP/MRP experience, and strong problem-solving abilities to balance demand with capacity while maintaining customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in production scheduling/planning in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and reading production docs/blueprints.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Release, firm, cancel, or defer production work according to constraints.
• Monitor adherence to schedules and escalate delays or capacity issues.
• Analyze capacity and adjust plans with overtime, outsourcing, or priority changes.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Inventory to ensure material readiness.
• Lead daily floor presence and participate in Gemba walks.
• Support Kanban, boards, sheets, and lean methods to improve flow.
